Despite a couple of unfortunate incidents on the Rackheath Industrial Estate in recent years, it has to be said that businesses on the Estate really put the community into the phrase ‘business community’.
Following the explosion at the KC Café in January 2011, surrounding businesses rallied round to offer support and repair the damage to neighbouring buildings, with community spirit coming to the fore.
On 29th February this year, a serious fire at the premises of PHS Datashred caused structural damage and a degree of disruption, but surely once again Rackheath’s business community will rally and emerge as strong as if not stronger than before.
Many of the businesses on the Estate work for and support each other on a daily basis. This great spirit, along with the construction of the exciting Eco & Business Training Centre on the Estate nearing completion, mean there are promising times ahead for the thriving industrial community.
Maybe Industrial Estate is not the best term to apply to Rackheath – perhaps it should be renamed ‘The Rackheath Business Community’!
